This is a really unusual version of the elegant Beswick urn. It is usually found in a matt white. Constance Spry pioneered the idea of a glazed interior and a natural clay exterior and this follows that lead. The interior is a lovely classical green and the exterior is a very soft matt finish very similar to natural clay although I believe it is actually a glaze as the under foot rim appears to be a normal white clay.
